I mentioned it in my previous newsletter, but- I’ll be at Comic Arts LA this upcoming weekend at table 54A. In addition to tabling though, I was invited to be on a panel! CALA’s official description:
Going to art school can be a big commitment. It works for a lot of artists and it can be a great opportunity. It can also be a big burden. Are there alternatives? Does art school really help? Is it an investment? These are important questions and who better to talk about it than artists who have gone through these experiences.
In this panel we will engage in conversations with four different creators who took different paths to making comics part of their profession. Come join us and listen to professionals talk about what their art education looked like both inside and outside a class room.
If you’re in the area, swing by, say hi, sit in on the panel! It’s guaranteed to be an interesting time. And if not- CALA is looking into streaming or recording their panels, so keep an eye out for that!
